Why doesn't Moore play more? Has this been talked about on here?

I think it's a combination of Moore struggling and Lansing starting to favor a smaller lineup with Arop and Smith on the floor together. Moore's regressed a little on the offensive end and Smith has been playing more and more strongly as the season goes on.

He may be a little short at the center position especially against bigger athletic guys like Wichita had.He was quicker and stronger in the earlier games not so in some of the MVC games.

It's all about DEVELOPING big men, and knowing how to optimize ability. ISU's had difficulty ALL YEAR stopping the penetration dribble, and Moore has "switching" & "weak side help" problems when this is set in motion. On the positive side, he's our best offensive rebounder and has nifty inside moves... if ISU could only help him isolate 1 on 1 and perpetuate passing angles instead of just standing around and watching when he has the ball.

Give him another year. I wish Gant had the shooting touch he has inside and he's got some moves to use it too.

damn easy bro.

It's just a like a broken record after saying the same thing over and over again. I understand and agree that there is a problem. Gant has improved a lot over the last year. Let's hope he does some serious conditioning and goes after it again harder next year.

Is Gant really 6'9?

This is not a personal attack or I don't want to "bash" anyone, but where did Gant's vertical go? I thought he had good springs when he was younger. Is it just that it doesn't look as good when you are playing against better players?

Just a guess, but I'd bet that his shin splint/lower leg problems may be kinesthetically aligned with his current verticality issues...

Good point re: "getting the tip," but how many offensive "tip-ins" has Justin garnered this season? He's a tough kid, but his game has been clearly impacted by his lower leg problems, taking into consideration that he's the best (Moore a close #2) that ISU has at this aspect of the game.

Pretty sure at Northern Iowa Justin got the tip? Maybe he was just wore out. Was a rough game.
I was watching the "body language" of the team and many were tired toward the end. Cummings, who gave supreme effort, was gassed out on his last foul shot. Great effort from him and the team

Oh yeah, Manny had a one and one late in the second half and he looked exhausted, I knew he wouldn't hit the front end, and he didn't.

And that's as it should be in a big game (and we have had few much bigger). When they leave it all on the floor there is nothing more we could ask. Had they left and partied all night, well then coaches, fans and teammates should and would feel cheated and respond appropriately.
