Each victory had special meaning in the Sycamore march to the "Arch" crown.
Which one struck the most powerful chord to you?

Personally, the Wichita State game...because of their arrogance.

Winning the championship game is good but I think beating the Shockers was GREAT!

You guys really think that beating WSU was more gratifying than getting into the NCAA Tournament?

:krazy:

Putting us up on a pedestal, wow.

This is a "personal" thing...we all know that the Big Dance is #1, but I'm digging down to the SOUL on this question. There is NO right answer. Just seeing what's ticking.

Has to be this one. National TV game, trip to the NCAA's. But will admit looking all of those WSU fans in the face and smiling last night as I walked out of the Scottrade Center was VERY rewarding. They were very arrogant all weekend towards all of the other fanbases.

We beat the top two teams in the valley back to back, after a big comeback win to beat Evansville. Don't see a need to pick one as a favorite. The whole weekend was incredibly sweet!

Frankly, the Evansville is the game that really WORRIED me. I was much more nervous about that game. Confidence building after the first two wins meant today was going to be something the team could accomplish!

Ya, that Aces game was`quite a load to take off our shoulders, given the nature of the two seasonal losses.

Had to be the Bears game. Why? As said before, the DANCE, national TV audience, recruiting, the DANCE, national TV audience and recruiting.:o

The others were sweet, very sweet indeed. But the last one was the best!

I was wondering how soon I would see someone change their avatar to one of the pics from this weekend.

Good choice my friend!!!!

Each win was great, each was more impressive than the previous one in my opinion. The kids didn't seem to feel the pressure at all as the importance of each game got greater. This really bodes well for next year and beyond as we will have the bullseye on us from the start next year.Hopefully this also helps future recruiting with the exposure we got this weekend. Please Ron Prettyman, stay and help finish the job you have started in all sports at ISU!

Of course the championship game was the most gratifying, but the WSU win was a game that felt like a breakthrough. I think we exercised 10 years of deamons with that win last night.

Hey, iSuwILLwINtHEmvc,

Did you graduate from ISU, or just attend and take a few classes?

Here's how the game works. Someone has a cogitive thought about an ISU subject. They then decide to post that topic, and start a thread to see if there is like minded Sycamore fans who want to respond to said idea.

Then you read the bait, and then you decide, do I want to respond, or not? Yes, or no.

So, let's start all over.

So out of the victories in the tournament, "Which one struck the most powerful chord to you?" You can just pick a school...Evansville, Wichita State, or MSU as your answer; or you can pick a school, and then add a cracker-jack comment with intellectualized thought to help explain your pick.

You answered a question, with a question, which is not an answer.

"You said, "You guys really think that beating WSU was more gratifying than getting into the NCAA Tournament?"

If you want to start another topic that you've mentioned, go right ahead. No one is stopping you.

So let's start all over, the thread du jour is, which win struck the most powerful chord to you?"

Can you pick a school, I can. Missouri State. See, that wasn't hard.

I can even add a comment. The win over MSU repudiates Coach of the Year honors, Three of the players on the All Tournament Team, The All Freshman Team, and more than that....I like watching it rain on other teams parades.

They all had take aways that will last a life time. UE was an ugly grind it out game, but the Jake Odum buzzer beater in March is something I will never forget. I believe this is his first buzzer beater for Indiana State and boy it couldn't have come at a better time.

I had so much built up hate and anger before the WSU game, I decided I was going to be that fan - as we were walking down around Union Station before the game I would pass fans (so many of them) dressed in yellow and black and tell them things like, "sorry boys but this will be the last day you wear those cloths this year" never really a doubt in my mind that wouldn't hold true. I walked out of scott trade on Saturday night feeling like the world had been against us for a long time, that was very special. All the doubters that we had, so few of Sycamore fans even traveled until Sunday - which is fine.

The MSU game it all goes without saying, I woke up a more peaceful person (in terms of anger and hate) on Sunday. I was really peaceful - didn't feel like we had anything more to prove, even had we lost which I knew wasn't going to happen I felt like this team had fought so hard that at the end of the day a loss wouldn't be the end of the world for me (sometimes it is). lol So with that being said, rushing out on the court and being a part of this run was so special. 3 games in 3 days, the run over the past 1 month or so of Indiana State basketball has been magical. Now we dance!

All were great...but if we are talking about the one that meant the most, it has to be the championship game for me. Eville worried me, WSU I wasn't near as worried with about 10 minutes left, but Missouri State was the most gratifying to see the TEAM playing so well! Oh and anytime we can put it to a team with a coach from Purdue its a good thing (not a fan of Purdon't at all).

MSU.
The UE game scared the hell out of me.
I honestly didnt think we'd beat WSU with the way they played Friday. Real testament to our team defense.
Even with that, beating MSU was the best for me.

Smith dropped us a tweet, news outlets are talking about us on a regional and national level, and unlike what happened in 2002, this won't come crashing down next fall...I think we really have a chance to have some sustained success and coverage! Without the MSU game, it's a nice 5 second story and a trip to the NIT. That kind of win - as long as we capitalize - can catapult a program.
