Summarizing the women's meet for ISU today

Kimyanna Rudolph gets 8th in the pole vault, first team all american!

Alethia Marrero makes the final in the 800, will run again Saturday, she will be first team all american

Katie Wise ran one of the fastest non qualifying times ever in the women's 100 and finished 14th, for 2nd team all american.

Pretty good day for the women!

MVC related, SIU freshman Raven Saunders just unleashed an incredible last throw in the women's shot put to take the NCAA title and give SIU their SECOND NCAA title of the day. DeAnna Price won the hammer earlier, and now the freshman Saunders.

They actually LEAD in the team standings with 20 points, unreal.

one last bit of meet info tonight, in the women's pole vault, Indiana State's Kylie Hutson has had the NCAA meet record since 2010, but that record has been broken tonight, and they're still vaulting.

Agreed, it was a pretty good year. Another good showing by the track and field and cross country teams.A playoff berth and a win for football. Marked improvement in many sports Outstanding late run for softball. It seems like these made the sting of a couple of disappointments.

And once again CC--thanks for your perspective and input for track and field as well as cross country teams.

Yup i would consider this a very solid athletic year for ISU. Majority of the teams did what they were suppose to or over-achieved by the standards given coming into the season. This is what? Probably the 6th year in a row that ISU has been at the top of the conference in most sports? Pretty amazing feet given the history and budget of our athletics
