Sad to hear that he died, but this is a good thing for the NCAA. He has let a lot of stuff go unpunished on his watch. I hope they hire someone with a set and they actually do something about the Reggie Bushes and Lane Kiffens of the college athletics landscape.
 
Not that this is the kind of thing that matters in the hours proceeding his death, so I don't mean to take anything away from that. But does his death delay the Jake Kelly ruleing another week or so? Or should it have no effect?

My guess is it could delay it...

Nah, it won't delay it (unless the NCAA comes to a complete halt for a mourning period)

I've never had a problem w/ Brand; love that he (and only he that I can think of) stood up to a certain, anger managment-less coach...

The entire NCAA (like Congress) could be re-organized. No one who's currently there could work at the new one!

Kiffin just loves to hear himself yak -- Not sure where he got it from; apparently his father (Monte) is a great guy -- guess Lane didn't follow all of this father's footsteps.

If I were the Brand family -- I'd hire some Pinkertons for the day
(or better yet, put out a sub-contract for some Hell's Angels...pretty sure they would be intimidated by that :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:
