I went to the IPFW game tonight and sat behind the bench with the parents, I feel terrible, I TOTALLY JINXED IPFW going to that game as a Sycamore alum, I brought the Sycamore curse to them and they wound up losing after having the lead (18 points at one time) for 39 minutes, 56 seconds. ndsu got the lead with 4 seconds left and Landis missed the last shot to win it. It was just like suffering through an ISU game.
Terrible night for Indiana teams in conference tourneys, we lost 3 NCAA bids tonight. Ugh
Doesn't Evansville have a strong nit resume? Thinking only gloomington and west laffy are locks for the NCAA....
Notre Dame has a pretty strong resume' don't they?
Valpo has an auto. bid to the NIT, 99.9% positive that ipfw is an auto. bid to the not.... This is a season that may find more Indiana colleges in the NIT than the NCAA... Not sure if that's ever occurred...
Doesn't Evansville have a strong nit resume? Thinking only gloomington and west laffy are locks for the NCAA....
Evansville might get in the NIT if Wichita goes to the dance but I don't think Wichita is going to the dance; therefore they are the NIT auto due to winning the regular season. A new 16 team tourney in Las Vegas is attracting a lot of attention......play 5 straight days if you win, go home when you lose. It will take some depth to survive but good place to go and sounds like fun.

a fun place...............lol.
What a "troll"... Wonder what SSOM's pseudonym is over there?
Jay Bilas was just asked how you compare a 6th or 7th place team in a major conference against a team like Valpo that won their conference. It is my opinion that a team that is 6th or worse in their conference has NOT earned a right to play for the national championship.
Is this a generally common opinion or do a lot of you disagree?
Just to get some discussion going before the selection show. I've been thinking about how the MVC's tournament units have been working out the next six years.
2015: 5 (3 WSU, 2 UNI)
2014: 2 (2 WSU)
2013: 7 (5 WSU, 2 CU)
2012: 3 (1 WSU, 2 CU)
2011: 1 (1 ISU)
2010: 3 (3 UNI)
Each unit is worth 1.67M over 6 years. 1.67Mx21=$35,070,000.
35,070,000/6=$5,845,000.
So basically this past year the MVC received $5,845,000 to distribute to it's members.
5,845,000/10=584,500.
So each school in the MVC received $584,500 this past year from NCAA money.
Now I know the MVC might keep a % of money for themselves and I've heard they give the team that earned the unit gets twice the amount as the other 9 schools, but this gives you an idea on how much money schools like ISU receive from the NCAA tournament. Please correct any of my math if it's wrong or any of my logic is off.
