The WTWO sports department has learned that Nick Ciolli baseball career at Indiana State is over. The former Terre Haute North and ISU star signed with the Chicago White Sox late Saturday night.

Ciolli signed a package deal with the White sox worth 120-thousand dollars.

He will now be going to the White Sox Advance Rookie League in Montana.

Good for him; follow your dream. Hate to lose him but he needs to strike while the iron is hot.
 
No idea of the package...

Am guessing it's the signing bonus; perhaps an agreement to fund the rest of this education. the pay checks for the minor leaguers tend to be based on level/longevity

I was just being sarcastic. I've never heard of a contract referred to anything but a contract. When I think package deals... I think buy one Nick Ciolli get another Ciolli free type of things.

Good for Ciolli--I wish him the best of luck with the White Sox organization and it's great to see that he managed to get a deal worked out so quickly. He will be sorely missed by the Sycs, but I think we all kind of expected it to work out this way. How could he pass up an opportunity to play with Phegley and Shoe?
