Brock Jensen, the starting quarterback for North Dakota State’s football team, will be disciplined after being charged last month with minor in possession or consumption of alcohol.

“Brock will go through the same discipline as other players we’ve had go through this,” said Bison head coach Craig Bohl, who doesn’t expect Jensen will miss any games because of the infraction. “That would be very inconsistent on our part. We are certainly disappointed and we are going to handle it.”

Hell, throw away the key & lock him up for 20 yrs!

Geeesh, can't a kid have any fun anymore...especially in ND?

When I 1st began teaching HS in '77 on the Turtle Mtn Reservation in Belcourt, I smelled an odor of "weed" one noon hr. while grading papers in my classroom, ultimately discovering that a couple of my students were toking outside my window. A simple private lecture corrected the problem, and it never happened again. No need to call the FBI or Tribal Police. In retrospect of the isolated & harsh conditions on the Reservation, I saw no need to add further problems to these kids' lives.

Thats their starter isnt it? That spanish kid was terrible...

that "spanish kid" was a main reason we won at Montana St. (Jose Mohler)

Brock messed up and he should be ashamed, especially when there are 3 new QB's coming in and 6 total in the system starting Fall camp.

Jose led the win at Kansas also, then got hurt so Jensen came in the Jensen went down with a Broken Collar bone allowing Jose back. We never had a consistant QB all year which is amazing we went as far as we did

Couldnt remember his name TJ...didnt mean to come off as racist but he wasn't very good in our outing eyeball test wise.

no problem, and yes Jose had some issues, but like i said its really hard to get in a groove when he or Brock never got the chance to play many consecutive games. I can only imagine what would have been had our QB position been stable come the end of the year, the way that team was playing. I watched our games again and the turning point was the SDSU game. Someone light a fire under their butts cause we came out and physically beat the crap out of SDSU, and if anyone of you could have seen the beat down at Montana St.....well it was awesome and shows the physical nature of the Valley teams.

I can't wait for the spring game, then summer at the lakes and into Sept.:wordyo:

Ive always been in the opinion that missing games was not the correct punishment. I think stuff like this should be dealt with in the arena at 5:30AM.

I though however, it wasnt fair that my fat self had to do the same amount of bear crawls as the rb's and other guys who were in better shape people for missing class ect.

I agree with the coach. He is going to handle the situation internally. Why does our society try to paint negative pictures about a college kid getting caught with alcohol? Come on, give us all a break. We all know that this is part of the maturation process. I hope this incident doesn't have a negative effect on this kid's future with his team.
