This game thread should be deleted for the first time ever we shouldn't have a game thread in protest - it's the thing to do these days when you don't get your way.

This game shouldn't be happening tomorrow. Not over it.

This game will tell us a lot about our team. we have two choices, cry in our cornflakes and roll over tomorrow, or ruck up and take all our frustrations out on Stanford. If our team is as tough as we hope they are, they will do the latter.

Fingers crossed for a strong effort tomorrow.

100% agree. Hopefully they decide to come out and get revenge in the Battle of the Trees.

agreed, will be interesting to see how we react to the loss today.

Have we even ever played Stanford?

Maybe they're tired from traveling all the way across the country for this tourney.

If we play against Stanford like we played against Iowa State today, we win by double digits. I sure hope that same team shows up tomorrow because I'm loving what I'm watching.

I also sure hope the same refs don't show up tomorrow. Good God...

if we do get past Stanford, we'll have our hands full with either Florida or Seton Hall. Both teams look pretty good.

Thought our Sycamores looked pretty damned good themselves Mr. Pessimistic. You sound like that dude over on MVC fans that is always ready to jump off the roof?

We've never played Stanford, believe we're 1-5 vs. the Pac-12; only win was vs. Oregon decades ago....

Hypothetical here. Would going 2-1 with wins over Stanford and seton Hall be a better scenario than going 1-2 with win over Iowa State but losing to Miami and Florida?

If so we are still in good shape. Tough blow yesterday, but we have a good opportunity still at hand.

We are not likely to win any of the games. They are all good teams. I consider this as a "get ready" for the MVC.

You missed the point. The point is we still have just as good of an opportunity ahead of us as we did yesterday. Because with your logic we weren't likely to beat Miami either in the winners bracket so who cares. Just roll over and die because we blew our chance.

Why would you say this?

I'm just being realistic. I want to see our team to continue to grow like it did yesterday. I think we are making a move up this year and I think our "program" will get better. I would like to see us in a few years at a level to beat teams like the ones in this tournament and Wichita.
High-major teams play faster and higher and shoot the ball very well. It will be tough to compete.
I guess I'm just saying that I'm not going to get down on the team if we can't win games in this tournament. I want IMPROVEMENT so we can go into the conference and do well.
