Really like this game as an opener for us. Should be a pretty good opponent to see how we stack up
If I’m not mistaken they are similar to Northern Illinois. Athletic but not necessarily skilled in all positions. It will definitely be a good test for us off that bat.

I agree. Butler had advantages in size, strength and quickness. It will be interesting to see if those deficits are narrowed in this game.

I'd like to think this game will be closer than our opener last year vs FAU in Dayton.

Last year, in Charlotte's home opener, the attendance was 3,343 and their arena seats 9,105.

So, unless something drastic has changed, I can't imagine it'll be a raucous atmosphere.

And hey, whadya know, former Sycamore assistant coach Brett Carey is on their staff...

Wasn't that the belief how we got the game?

Also, just saw that one dude from USI that has had a couple good games against us transferred over there.

Hey, guys. Charlotte fan here. Just an FYI, for anyone interested in conversing with the opponent before the game, our agent49 discord board is our most active. Ninernation.net is pretty active too. First off, I'm looking forward to this game. A bit about our team: last year was a disaster. Lots of portal misses and injuries absolutely tanked the season. It appears fearne and company were given the nil in the offseason to hit the portal hard and it appears that on paper we did well. That being said, it will take some time to gel. If anyone has any specific questions about our team, I'd be more than happy to answer.

Well I don't think we have miraculously added any length or athleticism in the past couple days so unfortunately I don't have positive vibes for this game. We rarely seem to prioritize length and athleticism in recruiting. As long as you have NO rim protection you're going to suck defensively JMO.
