Jason:

That heading looks great!!! Finally......... Let's hope you can put a 2 up there before the end of the year.

Going to need a giant day from our D...we have to stop that RB and get pressure on that Redshirt QB. I bet the rest of the teams are deffiently keying on Ryan now, so we also need a big day from the OL and Gates and Brown.

Teams are going to be so focused on stopping our run that now really is the time to get our first big passing day of the year. I think Roberts has the skills to pass well, but we could also shake things up. I'm not saying we'll do it, or necessarily should, but throwing Stutzriem in there on occasion really could rattle an opponent's defensive game plan.

Yeah they will just blitz as soon as they see stutz. People need to get over that kid! Roberts is the QB.

And if we can't throw they'll just run blitz. Roberts is the better option (I've been saying that for a while now, even when others weren't yet on the bandwagon) and his ability to break big runs gives us more life and consistency. Still, we have to be able to pass the ball more than we have be it Roberts or another QB on occasion.

To compete with SIU, we will definitely need to be able to pass the ball. However, they have ball hawks in the backfield--the top two interception leaders in the conference, so this will be interesting. Ryan passed the ball decently against Illinois State, not at all effectively against WIU (4-14 for 30 some yards). This is not going to get it done against SIU, even with 160 yards rushing. Where has the Tight End gone in the offense? Hopefully we can establish the run, and be able to mix in some quick passes this week.

ISU and SIU both begin with 3 and out's, ISU will have the ball back now, good start for the ISU defense forcing SIU to a 3 and out to start.

well, great start for the ISU defense, holding SIU on their first 2 drives, ISU now back on offense. 3 and out for ISU, SIU to take over again.

Hey, at least it won't be 50-0 like it was last season (at halftime no less).
