I would've liked to have seen ASU win that one. Texas vs Ohio State in the Semis. Penn State will take on whoever wins between ND and UGA which was delayed to tomorrow because of the attack in New Orleans.

Interesting a shift happening in college football. Typically the SEC has dominated.
Last year saw a national championship game of Washington & Michigan. This year has a final 4 of Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.
5 of 6 northern schools. The SEC deserved to called the best conference with all their national championship recently. But ESPN and the media has hyped them up beyond tolerance of an average football fan and now everyone absolutely hates them

Maybe this past 2 years they did. Frankly, as much as I watch college football, they had me fooled as well. I still think Ole Miss is the best SEC team this year. I know you’re going to say they lost to 2 unranked teams, but that’s on Kiffin. I wonder what Texas has for Ohio State in The Cotton Bowl? ND pretty much controlled Georgia, and that’s not easy with Kirby Smart.
Glad the Midwest is representing well in the CFP. This was one of the rare times I've pulled for Notre Dame in a game. Hopefully OSU beats Texas so we can have an all Midwest championship game. Or maybe I should say northern since western PA is arguably not in the Midwest, but it has been Big Ten country for 34 years now, so close enough.

Did you see the guy from South Carolina signal the fair catch and then threw it to the other player to move the ball forward? I thought that was a low class move even know it was legal. When The Illinois coach called him out, his reaction was childish as Hell.

Marcus Freeman is definitely a better coach than crybaby Brian Kelly. I used to love to watch Notre Dame lose just so I could watch him whine and pout on the sidelines. Out of the teams remaining I guess my preference would be Notre Dame and I can't believe I'm even saying that.
Right On! I’d like to see Texas and ND play in the final. Marcus Freeman was coached in high school by the same coach my son-n-law was. Different schools, but same guy.

I want to see Ohio State vs Notre Dame. That would be a huge matchup in this part of the country and I also think those are the two best teams remaining.
The Division 1 National Championship game is finally upon us tonight at 7 ET!!! I'll probably miss the first half because of work, but I should be able to (hopefully) watch via YouTube, or at the very least listen to one of the two schools' radio broadcast.
