Ya he is? Why do you say you doubt that happens now?
Typically, when a player's parent changes schools, they go with them. Not saying he would get a scholarship there, but he may want to play for an FBS school as a walk on. It would be an interesting dynamic if he chose to stay with ISU knowing they fired his dad...but it could happen.

I heard the son is staying to play for ISU. Things can obviously change.

They fired the Offensive Coordinator, Bath, correct. Did not know they fired the Defensive Coordinator, Wilson. Is this correct or not?

I was about to say that I had no idea that we fired the DC too, but either way we need a new one now it appears. Hopefully we land a good one, but I'm not sure how many options are out there at this point in the off-season. Probably a lot more than I think to be honest.

I am still optimistic about the new OC Bear. I think he could end up being a great OC for us if Mallory let's him open it up. I would like to see us keep the "tush push formation" in the playbook on those very short yardage situations. It was one of the plays that we seemed to do pretty well with this past season.

It’s the new DB coach, former Ball State DC.

Good jump with more money.

I got the chance to meet and talk to one of our O-linemen this weekend, Zach Simpson. Talked a little football and how he feels about the team going forward. Said he's been impressed by the new coaches and really likes how the team is shaping up for next season. I asked if he thought the improvement would continue that we saw last year and without skipping a beat he said, oh yeah. So that's seems promising.

ISU assistant Collin Coffer is leaving to be HC at Indy North Central. Quite the undertaking as they haven't won a singe game in three years and are on a 32-game losing streak. Why in the world you would go from D-1 FCS coordinator to that I have no idea unless maybe he and the new OC weren't seeing eye-to-eye and he wanted to be back in his hometown? And heck it could be a pay raise? Either way good luck to him!

That is interesting indeed. I can’t imagine why you would unless you’re looking for more stability.

Most recently, Coffer has worked as the wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator at Indiana State University.

My guess is that he wasn't allowed to do much here. We rarely pass the ball.

This hook-up is the biggest incentive for him:

Why turn down a job like NC when you're never in the classroom, just the field & gym/weight room
