Is he sporting a Rolex on the field?
Does make you wonder why you would need to wear a watch during warm ups, but I am glad to see he is someone who obviously cares about being punctual. That is an important skill for young people to develop. Good for him.
The NCAA apparently allows Rolex watches to be presented as awards/rewards of a sort. And yes, that's a bit crazy.

An ISU athlete living off campus gets $600 a month for room and board deposited into his checking acount monthly. Plenty of pizza and burger money left after paying his rent. That amount is not universal at every D1 school. A Northwestern athlete for instance will get $1,500 a month for room and board. That is based partly on the cost of living in the North Chicago suburbs as oppossed to Terre Haute. Don't tell me athletes dont get paid, a smart athlete at ISU could buy a house on a street South of campus collect rent fron 2 or 3 teamates to help pay the mortgage. Now he is the owner of an investment property, has a place to live with plenty of money left over for "living" expenses. Intelligent athletes can make that money go along way with a bit of maturity and guidance from smart parents.
How could you tell he is wearing a Nike Jersey? Oh...that's right, the logo. Rolex watches have very distinct faces - just like a logo. And the band tells you as well....of course it could be a fake, but it doesn't look like it is a fake
You must have seen a better picture than I. The photo at the beginning of this thread does not tell you that he's wearing is a Rolex. There is nothing with the band or the face that will tell you it's a Rolex from afar.
My company awards Rolex's to every 10-year employee, so I own one and see many every day. The only distinctive quality that seperates a real Rolex from a fake is the perpetual second hand. It doesn't "click" at every second but rather moves in constant motion. You can't tell that from the picture.
If there is another photo or article that states it's a Rolex, please share. It looks like a cheap, fake gold watch to me.
Feel free to do some cursory searching on Google. Several Oregon Duck sites reported it and talked about it. I could be, but I'd be shocked if it were a fake. The kid is into jewelry big time and routinely also wears huge diamond earrings, chunky gold chains, etc. Considering he has now declared for the draft, I'm going to guess it was bought with advance money from his agent. According to some Oregon sites, he was also spotted in a luxury box at the Eagles/Saints game wearing it. I doubt he struts around in a fake... just my two cents.
Slum lords like Union Hospital/physician "investors" have a monopoly on TH substandard housing...can't believe the prices they have attached to some of these rentals. I lived "ocean to river" in Melbourne Beach, FL CHEAPER than TH. You explain, other than "supply/demand" scarcity principles...sure as hell has nothing to do w/ QUALITY of living environment. Funny, when I 1st returned to TH last Summer, SSOM put me touch w/ the Union Hospital Property Mgr., whose office was upstairs in a two-car garage. This asshole thought he was Donald Trump, no civility whatsoever...prices totally unrealistic for SLUMS near the hospital/ISU. He must've thought he was located top floor of Keystone @ the Crossing!
