First rule in life…..never go on Facebook.

It is only used for two things. Bitching and Bragging.

Bitching about stupid crap that 99.99% of the population doesn’t care about. (See Indiana State men’s basketball page listed above)

Or Bragging about something like your kid’s karate trophy that 99.99% of the population doesn’t care about.

Did anyone see the post on the men’s basketball Facebook fan page?! People complaining about fans booing the opposing teams and that we should be a first class school and not do that. That’s so soft imo.
Hahaha was just talking to my dad about that. Really annoyed me. The other team doesn’t get motivation from getting booed. It isn’t High School. Those people never have played a competitive sport in their life

I got banned from that page because I didn’t agree with that post. The replies to that were so annoying to read. Like a bunch of sissies. People saying it’s inconsiderate and rude. Like c’mon people, get real. It’s college basketball, not youth leagues.

That's why those people are there and not here. They aren't interested in actual discussion or debate.

They're interested in an echo chamber detached from reality where their nonsense can be validated by others that need to be in padded wall safe spaces. If they weren't, they wouldn't have banned you for something as simple as having a difference of opinion.

I just saw it and came on here to say the same thing. :ROFLMAO:

I don't know what's worse, getting mad about boos or those BYU students being told to take off their 'Horns Down' shirts.

And there's some other guy on there lecturing people about "fan etiquette." Telling people to sit down unless everyone is standing. What a collection of Karens...

Tiff has done a great job on the FB group and helped grow the fan base but just like anything Facebook you get a bunch of idiots on it. The same ones bitching and moaning about the students were the very same ones pitching that the students wasn't showing up.

While I “like” or “follow” whichever it is the Facebook fan page. It’s not for me… Not for me to read or comment really for that matter. FB and X are not really built or setup for debate/discussion as it’s really difficult to follow.

But I will say - anything and everything promoting InState I am here for it. We need all the help we can get. So if that platform is creating interest and generating discussion about InState awesome!

Kind of like SSOM. I follow the page but don't post. As an out of towner there are a lot of pictures being posted so it is kind of nice in that regard to see photos of Hulman, players, etc. I mean I'm not going to knock it, but there are some posts that make you tilt your head, but with 3,000 members that's going to happen. Honestly the lady is runs it does a real nice job and with so many members it definitely helps with attendance and the fanbase. It's a pretty powerful tool to get information out to the masses real quick and it does nothing but good for ISU basketball

Agreed. Too much censorship on the FB fan site, & lack of fun debate. A couple of my posts were deleted for mildly stating that 'booing' opposing players should not be outlawed. I don't boo the opposing players, but can't get behind trying to force others not to. However, genuine props to Tiff. I do think the FB page will be good for ISU bball fandom. The censorship over very mild differing of opinion just wasn't for me, but wish her & the page the best.

Glad to join Sycamore Pride. I've followed for a while, but became so excited about the program this year, it seemed like the right time to join.

welcome aboard and love the username; although you might be getting a court order from Jason for some Trademark infringements. jk jk. But keep posting and help grow this site!

Was going to say the same thing. They have 3k followers and that's a great thing. 3 years ago they wouldn't have had 30

100% -- you meet people where they're at so if they prefer Facebook, so be it.

However, whomever is in charge has a big responsibility because while people came for the shared interest, they'll either stay or leave for the community. That is what makes this place so special -- our special collection of rag tag Sycamore misfits that are willing to roll up our sleeves and have the difficult conversation.

So if they aren't looking to have that sort of platform, they need to be very open and transparent so they don't alienate the people that spend their time there.

Definitely LOVE all of the attention on beautiful Terre Haute and our hard-nosed Sycamores! 🌳 Went to the Bradley game Saturday, best atmosphere since the early 2010 Creighton/Wichita St. games.
