Bills released Fitzpatrick today.

They also apparently released a statement saying they were turning the matter over to the authorities. Talk about egg in the face although those two guys are likely in for a world of hurt. Believe it is a federal crime. Anyone know?

Yes, it is. They might be able to argue Nix called them back, but that's very shaky ground. I'm surprised more stories picking this up aren't noting that it's illegal. The pranksters might have thought they were being smart, but they're truly the dumb ones here and it the authorities decide to go after them they will be screwed.
