Ok ok before you get all up in arms, this is a rumor that I heard today. I am not saying it's true or anything to that effect... Here goes nothing:

Indianan State University will have to pay 30 grand to Quincy because of NCAA rule violation - they scheduled a game before the Sept. 1 deadline. A game can not be scheduled before Sept. 1 and that is the case here with the game being August 27. NCAA rule stats that you can't do anything before Sept. 1.

This is my understanding of the rule and rumor. I am not sure where the 30 grand comes into play with this rumor but that is what I am hearing.

Ok boys - don't kill me... lol Tom James what do you know about this? Start digging?

any money would most likely be the guarantee every school

pays....to a visiting school....like isu gets a guarantee when they play up a level....schools like isu do the same...when playing schools from lower levels......of course, the guarantees are much, much smaller.....
 
Last years opener against Eastern Michigan was on Aug 28th wasn't it? I did hear they had to get a waiver of some sort though.
 
So they have recieved that waiver? And the game still will be played?

Thanks for the info. fellas all while not personally attacking me! I really just heard this "rumor" and I figured if their was any substance to it that someone on hear would know something. I was never saying it was or wasn't true.

As I expected it would be, excellent Tom! That's why I came on here and asked, I wanted to check the validity of this rumor before I went on talking about it without being educated.

It was one of these rumors where you take it with a grain of salt. I pretty much said if this thing holds any substance on here my "friends" (that all hate me) at sycamorehoops.com will know something...

Speaking of blackout... Don't know if I'll get around to doing it or not but I'd like to get that special iron on paper for printers and put www.sycamorefootball.com on my black tshirt. Would help promote the site and meeting fellow members here.
