Horrible loss. Huge Indiana State Sycamore fan. Great advocate for Terre Haute. Probably many that knew him better could come up with a better legacy than I described. All-in-all he was a really nice guy that you would have to work hard to find something bad to say about.

Was he a member on here Jason??

Agree tenfold. Didn't know the guy all that well, just through talking isu hoops and playing some basketball with him. Didn't stop him from being personable to me each time I saw him. Seemed like a guy who really loved terre haute and isu. Great loss for the community. Hope they prosecute those guilty to the fullest.

I barely knew him but obviously, since yesterday, I know now he has touched many, many of my friends. My heart goes out to all of them and Matt's family. What a terrible loss.

Matt will be missed. I knew Matt well as fellow OX and Tree . He was actually with me on Spring Break when I met my wife to be.. I feel so fortunate to have spent time with him at Homecoming,, we had a beer and he told my daughter all about the day we met her mom. In his humor, he told her enough to embarrass her a little which was 100% Matt.

I still am confused about the situation. I know little,, only what other OX have tossed around. A Terre Haute DJ isn't a rich occupation but I guess when your an idiot anyone on TV or Radio must be loaded.

Matt loved ISU, he attend events not because of radio etc. but because he grew roots.

Good bye and say hi my son

Sickened when I heard this yesterday. Matt played basketball in the past with a group that includes several members of this site and was a huge supportor of all things ISU and Terre Haute. He was a true Sycamore, not any of this I support ISU but like the Hoosiers crap..100% Sycamore which as we know is rare.

I am honored to have had him DJ my wife and I's wedding and was always happy to see him DJing many of the weddings we have attended since.

One great memory was when I was guarding him and he hit a shot in my face and faded away saying, "Jake Odum!" It was great then and still brings a smile to my face.

God Bless Matt... our entire family and especially my dad will miss talking to you at the games.
