Man, what a bitter old man he has become. Wonder why he waited until Wooden was gone to attempt to sully his reputation?
Guy was a fantastic basketball coach but can he be any lesser of a human being? Further, just because he bullied his players into the Army mentality doesn't mean it was effective. It's funny how few of his former players respect him.

Former ISU coach Bob King was no fan of Wooden, for much the same reason. Lots of under the table stuff going on in Westwood, going back years...

Given King's proximity to LA @ Abuquerque (800 mi of desert), I'm sure he rammed heads w/ UCLA over a few recruits during his dayz and heard a few stories @ coaching clinics.

I know some may want to argue, but every blue blood became a blue blood because they did whatever they could to land kids. Too many stories about all of the historic programs from Rupp at Kentucky in the early days to Coack K at Duke today. Some are just better cheaters than others and know how to stay disconnected or don't let their arrogance get them caught like Pitino.

I've always said, the true test on whether someone is a good coach or not is this. Can they win at Indiana State? Anyone (well almost) can win at IU or UCLA. Wooden was a good coach. Not sure about RMK

programs fall in the craziest of ways. that 30 for 30 about SMU football was crazy. It seemed like the last straw was a kid who was recruited as a star and became a drug addict got mad when he stopped getting paid and the family brought a hand written envelope that had contained money and the AD didnt have the quick wit to say "we send letters to families all the time" when questioned about it.
