This is big news and being posted all over Twitter. Lots of speculation on why they want to move but this isn't the first time we've heard they're not happy in the Valley.

What does your gut tell you? I saw a tweet that the reason he denied is because the board hadn't voted on it yet?Has been an interesting night for sure. We will see what becomes of it.
I would not let them stay in the valley for just football as there are already too many football only schools in the conference. If the valley is not enough for their other sports then how can it be good enough for football only?
Well you can't hardly kick them out.
They wouldn't kick them out of the MVFC because we have other schools that are not full Valley members. If I'm not mistaken, the MVFC is run like it's own entity. We could...I mean it's not like MSU is some irreplaceable part of the Valley's football future. If MSU decides to leave as a conference I wouldn't throw them a bone but letting them stay in the MVFC...That would be interesting to see them have to make that jump.

I agree with the complaint about the Valley favoring Creighton, and Wichita State for that matter, and I guess Conf. USA does make geographical sense for them. I take it there were rumors beyond what the basketball player tweeted though.
Seems kind of pointless though if they don't make the move for football as well, as that's the sport where being in C-USA is truly a step up. Realize why they likely can't though. Be kind of embarrassing, I would think, to be the only member not competing in football.

that conference doesn't make geographical sense. but if they do go which i could see that happening. i mean it kind of burst out of nowhere all of these rumors. we need to pick up st louis, oral roberts, or butler real fast. i don't see how we couldn't get st louis or oral roberts but butler would be tough to get but it needs to happen. the conference can't settle for a school in the OVC or schools like the dakotas for full membership.
the MVC is a bus league only, if MSU leaves the ONLY other options are Oral Roberts, St. Louis, and Butler (as I mentioned on page 1). Adding flights for the non revenue sports teams in the MVC will never happen, not in this day and age of cost cutting. Butler will prob. stay in the Horizon since they're virtual locks to make the NCAA's every year.
Well, Tulsa is a member. There are a lot of conferences with jacked up geographical issues. That is why I'm content being in the Valley.that conference doesn't make geographical sense. but if they do go which i could see that happening. i mean it kind of burst out of nowhere all of these rumors. we need to pick up st louis, oral roberts, or butler real fast. i don't see how we couldn't get st louis or oral roberts but butler would be tough to get but it needs to happen. the conference can't settle for a school in the OVC or schools like the dakotas for full membership.
