My reasonable expectation for this season was top 5 in the Valley and anything on top of that is a bonus. We are well on track for that, currently 3rd in current overall noncon standings and getting a 3-9 Valpo at home next weekend.

Looking at RPI we are 5th out of 10 MVC teams as well. Southern Illinois is actually 4th in the nation in RPI(!), maybe a regional in Carbondale this year?

Finished the series against Pacific 2-1. With mild snow/sleet showers off and on all Sunday, not sure we'll ever get a California team at home again anytime soon.

In all seriousness, Arch should be reaching out to all the West Coast Big Ten schools and trying to get midweek games scheduled when they're in Indiana for games vs Purdue and IU, next year and every year thereafter.

Conference opener at home today vs. Valpo. Sunday's finale has been moved to now be the second part of a doubleheader tomorrow due to expected inclement weather.

This team is frustrating to watch. Defensive errors, bad baseball running, mental mistakes, and lots of strikeouts. Losing to Valpo (4-12) is not a good start to the MVC schedule.

Faced a guy last night with +7 era and he held State to 3 hits and today facing a guy with a +8 era and we have a solo home run through five innings.

I don't know it was in the Valpo dugout, but he A) did not shut up and any point in any of the 3 games, and B) actually got some pretty good zingers occasionally. A+ shit-talker.
