Just found out that the NCAA representative. who will be presenting.....

the Walter Payton Award winner at the FCS championship game in Frisco, Texas will be former Sycamore linebacker Joe Dunn., so there's a pretty good chance that you could have a former Sycamore giving and presenting the award to a current Sycamore.. Wouldn't that be interesting....Joe will also be in charge of presenting the FCS championship trophy to the winning team.

Joe has worked for the NCAA for the past several years and has quickly moved up the hierarchy.....he played for Coach Raetz and is originally from Cincinnati. His dad used to drive a big Sycamore 18-wheeler to all the games and had the horn on his truck playing the Sycamore fight song. And his uncle used to sell great looking Sycamore pullovers. I still have mine.

Saw Shakir near campus today as I was driving home. Gave him a shout out.... he said his leg is totally fine.....man that's good news. Nice kid.

This is awesome for him.

I wish we would have had him against UNI in the 2nd half and on the last drive vs SIU. I believe we'd have been 8-3 and hed have about 100 more yards

How will...

our record and Shakir's "youth" hurt his chances?

Gotta believe the Lehigh QB (10-1) # 6 in the country, in playoffs will win.

HOPE Shakir wins in a blow-out, heart tells me he should win, head tells me he won't - this year...

Kind of like being invited to the Heisman award show though. Pretty cool just to be one of the finalists.

Absolutely, if we were in the playoffs, I'd really like his chances.

So, 2012, 2013 THOSE are Shakir's years for the award!
