We've got 5 former Sycamores playing in the 2012 league. Josh Crawford, Jake Kelly, Aaron Carter, Harry Marshall and Isiah Martin are all participating in the event. The league begins June 26th and runs until August 2nd.

I'll likely be going down for several of these to see the former players. If anyone is interested, let me know what days you plan on going and we can meet up and shoot the Sycamore breeze. The event is very cheap and it has free parking -- at least it has the past couple years.

Djibril Kante is listed and I missed him since he is only listed for Europe. So make that 6 former Sycamores.

Any idea of the Euro teams for whom the guys are playing? basketball-reference.com doesn't follow any non-US pro teams; regardless of their level of play...

Thanks --- do you have a membership/subscription? Really wish the State Athl media office did a better job in tracking the former State athletes... regardless of the sport.
Nope. Use it as a starting point and then I'll hunt the team's website down to see if he is still there or not. Also search Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Good point, which may partially explain WHY ISU gets so few "legacy" players, whose parents/relatives were once Sycamore athletes. You'd also think that by maintaining closer ties, we'd see enhanced alumni contributions from former athletes...especially the one's that hit the "big time." Anyone have information on past ISU alum-pros and their collegiate "gratitude" flow charts?

Apparently Khristian Smith is playing in it.

Indiana States Kristian Smith proved to be to much for team red, he led team black with 26 points, black advances 2 semi-finals Tuesday at 8

I believe Brandon Burnett is playing out in Tucson or Phoenix between summer session classes also. He redshirted last year & can most likely use the competition & Khristian Smith played last night but don't think he has been playing regularly? He also probably needs the competition even moreso than Burnett since he was not able to practice with the team last season. Yes, always a possibility of an injury but you can also get hurt shooting around in your driveway.

I thought I was "Old School" but kids play year around nowdays you know in most all sports.

...which may be a CONTRIBUTING factor to the increasing number of sport injuries - the OVERLOAD principle, and it's stressful impact upon the body & tissue regeneration.

We should just get robot arms and legs!! That would solve the problem and it would be awesome! All in favor? Everyone? Super! All opposed? No one, cause opposing that is lame, therefore the motion passes.

Glad we could come to consensus. :D

Talk about "lame"...nice to see someone actually stumble upon the concept of OVERUSE.

Sports have become essentially year-round. Yes, there is something to be said for rest and relaxation, but, there is also quite a bit to be gained by getting additional time in the gym and playing against different competition.

Would you prefer that the players only actually see the court on ISU game days? No practice, for fear of injury...no lifting, for fear of injury...get volunteers to push the players around in wheelchairs, for fear they might pull a muscle walking to class...
