I'd say this is exactly what Gary Dailey keeps jabbering on about, but he'd figure out how to say ISU is the real problem. Even though I don't see Miles being able to pay players out of his salary...

Eventually, the BCS schools will get this "Pay For Play" bullshit passed. It's just another way to keep the mid-major's down and in their place.

Society has forgotten what or why institutions of higher learning were created. It sure as hell wasn't to provide a path to pro sports or to tickle the feel good of alumni.

A scholarship should be enough reward. Why should an athlete receive pay when an outstanding student on an academic scholarship doesn't receive "pay for study"?

Jobs used to be allowed until the slimeball universities created THOUSANDS of 'no-show' jobs (a la Organized Crime...) and paid the kids hundreds of dollars for doing nothing.
