Does anyone know if there were ever any solid plans to build an on campus football stadium? Not wanting to start a debate as to whether or not on is needed just want to know if there were in fact plans that were scraped because of a lack of funding.

No plans have been scrapped. We've actually been acquiring land so we have the planned space when the time/funding comes.

So there was not a funded plan that was scrapped by Mitch Daniels. Is that correct.

That is hilarious. Did the same person tell you John Gregg would have us a new stadium built tomorrow? lol.
If that did occur no one has been talking about it. The reality is that it takes money. My guess is that the rumor you heard is about a conversation I understand occurred with state officials that no state(of Indiana) support would be given to projects like football stadiums. But that was always known anyway. I am, of course, just speculating. ISU is going to have to raise the money privately to get this thing built, plain and simple!
