If Kessinger is a starter this next year ought to be a real treat... He's not a starter, he's barely contributed anything the last 2 years.

Well, Kessinger isn't a SF so I don't think we'll ever have to worry about it. Him at the 4 could happen depending on Thomas's health and development as well as whomever we land with that last scholarship.

How many PF's do we get out of HS that are game-ready. He will improve and was set back by a horrible injury. Most bigs at any D1 level play their best the last 2 years.
We just need someone to step up for that position. Historically, we have had some good teams with some average 4-5's. The perimeter players run the offense and the inside guys play D, rebound, and clean up the garbage.

I know it's small but I want my best players on the floor. It shows we need another big. We can always go bigger if need be, but I want to go better. Hopefully we can figure a defensive scheme to help but these are our best athletes as well as players so this is my thought. Go Blue

Hard to gauge who our starting 5 is without knowing who we're bringing in with this last ship. But I will say I'll be floored if Key isn't starting. Kid is a gym rat and improved big time over the season on D. Neese and Williams are the shiny new toys that nobody has seen in live action, so I get the excitement surrounding them..If they both end up being the real deal I think you see us going with the lineup coach put up there. I would be fine with that because the way basketball is changing you need 4 guys who can pass/dribble/shoot...The days of multiple post players are over for most teams.

OOPS. I forgot Key. I'll revise mine. Williams and Neese will BOTH have to prove they can out play Key to start. Not sure they can do that.

There are lots of rebounds that will get lost, but there are (hopefully) lots of tipped passes and layups to be had.

I think you’re on the money with this. Rickman will start for tip and I believe he, BK and Thomas will all rotate at the 5. I think most of the time we’ll play 4 guards.

I’m kind of leaning this way. It’s early, but I’d be surprised if we start Neese as a Freshman right away. I think this is a compromised 4-out-1-in lineup where we can still grab a few rebounds.

I would be very surprised if Neese gets a start early in his career. He will miss the non-con season. It would be asking a lot from him to expect him to start at the beginning of the Valley season.
