Yup. At this stage in the game id guess that there is probably an average of 2 openings per D1 school. With what? 362 D1 schools out there that is roughly 742 scholarships available for 1310. Musical chairs is about to end. Also I think I'm being generous on 2 openings per school, probably more like a little over 1 on average.

Curious to know how many of these players were encouraged by their coaches to enter the portal because they had no future where they were at. Lots of them I suspect.

JD has certainly stepped up into a vocal leadership position.

He looks pretty unstoppable in some of these clips. Could surprise some people who didn’t get to see much of him last year.

Not surprising. Last year I remember the majority of guys on the team thought JD was the funniest, so not shocking he is turning into a vocal leader year 2.

But JD knows how to score, rebound and be a bull. I really hope he works on passing, vision, etc. the kid can score but I want to see what he does for the team without putting the ball in the basket

Agreed. There’s no doubt he has a knack for putting the ball in the hoop, but I need to see him improve his handle, hands and passing. I also frankly don’t remember what he looked like defensively last year.

He’s kind of an enigma to me right now. Probably the most gifted player on the roster, but at where does he play and who does he guard? Does he take the Robbie role in the offense and is that hub we need?

Last year the players dubbed him "Baby Zion", so maybe he becomes a bull version of Kent.
Need to see him live in a game b4 I get too excited. He had a long way to go defensively and like in the valpo game when he got some real minutes he looked completely gassed about 5 minutes in. If he's going to be our prime option on O he has to have better stamina and I'm not sure he looks any more in shape or nibble in the few clips that are out there thus far.

Tough crowd.

All I know is JD is the dude that picked me up outta the funk that was two weeks in April. He will be my favorite Sycamore this year, even if he averages a double double in turnovers and missed FGA.
I will always reward loyalty with my fandom!

Also, with every one of these videos they put out, I have to go back to gosycamores.com and take a look at the roster pictures. I still barely recognize 75% of this roster.

JD played a grand total of 63 minutes last year. I'm unwilling to comment on anyone's stamina or defensive abilities after 63 minutes of action over the course of an entire season.

With that being said, I AM willing to predict 2nd Team All-Conference, based on the same 63 minutes....soooooo, there's that.
