Good offseason article. I think we will be deeper and more versatile compared to last years team. I love our stable of guards and if Big mike samuels can help Kitchell, Gant and RJ in the frontcourt we could be a very good team next season.
Good off season read and information. Sounds like the new batch of kids is working hard and has the right attitude so far, hopefully they mesh with the returning guys and the chemistry is there this season.
If you've ever read Khristian Smith's twitter, I'm not sure I've ever seen a person at his age so driven and focused on his goal. He is a complete keeper...
Not that he isn't driven because I follow him on Twitter. But let's go ahead and keep perspective.
He has goals and he's not afraid to say it on Twitter.
You have two kinds of people in athletics people who talk about doing things an people who go out and do
things. I like everything I have heard so far about Smith and am excited to see him on the floor. But he's certainly not the first/only driven and focused college athlete - I have seen many, to judge by ones Tweets is simply not an accurate judgement - now if you'd seen him getting up shots or in the weight room putting in the time then lets talk.
All I'm saying is its one thing for any of these guys to say they are putting in the time. Its another to put in quality time, it will make the difference between rising to the occasion or letting the moment get the best of you!
Goals are good - results are better!
I should have said I've never seen one so focused in his tweets. Most of the Twitter stuff I've seen is drivel. Khristian tweets about getting better and doing what needs to be done. Didn't mean he's the most focused athlete ever.
And to be honest, I don't get around on Twitter very much, but his stuff is usually great to read when thinking about the future of our team!
Is that rot gut Falstaff still brewed?
Rot gut? That was the brew of blue collar mid-America during the 50's & early 60's! Weren't they also sponsors of the MLB "Game of the Week" w/ Pee Wee & Dizzy?
Reminds me of an incident in Newburgh back in the late 60's...my ol' man noticed that I was sneaking a few of his brew, so he started drinking Sterling (a rank local E-ville product), knowing that we wouldn't touch his inventory! BTW...The "Welcome Wagon" used to give new E-ville residents a CASE of Sterling when they established residence in the Pocket City.
Is that rot gut Falstaff still brewed?
:beat:I'll follow you...or should I change my name first?
Since you're a TH "insider," maybe you can address what the ISU "old pro's" are doing this Summer? I'm not quite sure why you were so offended by my response to the Chief...maybe insecure, since the "Old Pro" precluded YOUR existence?
