TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State baseball home opener has been pushed back according to Sycamore head coach Mitch Hannahs. The Sycamores were scheduled to open the home portion of their schedule on Tuesday by hosting the Eastern Illinois Panthers but this weekend's winter weather has forced the postponement of that contest. It will be rescheduled later.

Actually good news as with the extra innings game over the weekend, the short-staffed pitching corps doesn't need to be over-extending their arms for innings that don't really matter in the bigger scope of things! Off to a great start. Win on Friday and they will have tied the 2009 squad's 10-1 opening season record.

Anyone know if the team made it back home yet? I have family from Evansville area that was still stranded in Orlando from flying back to Evansville yesterday........or so they say?
