Indiana State Basketball head coach Greg Lansing announced today that 2017-18 schedule for the Sycamores. One more non-conference game is expected to be added to today's slate in the coming days. Once the schedule is completely announced, the Sycamores will host 16 home games this year -- the most in one season since 2014.

Should be interesting to see who we get for the last non-con. There have been no rumors so it will be a complete surprise, I'm still thinking it might be IPFW for the Scott bros.

Wondered where ball st went on the schedule..and there they are. Not too bad overall... hopefully we put that 90k to good use from IU and it helps us buy a decent home game next season

disappointed no @EIU on the schedule although its like pulling teeth to get the family anywhere on a school night

Pretty good schedule, with more home games than the last couple years. I hate to see 2 D2 schools on there though.

True. But rpi wise perennial 300+ RPI bottom feeders like Eastern Illinois or IUPUI is worse because the D2 game doesn't affect our RPI and those do. Also due to our budget we have to return that game on the road the following year. But from a fan enthusiasm/excitement point of view the D2 game looks worse

Agreed. University of North Texas also ended last year at an RPI of 338, one of worst teams in the nation. It's a good schedule because we at least have more home games than usual, but like most years the non-conference doesn't really matter. There's 0% chance we're in any at-large discussion unless we completely run the table in the non-con. This is all just a tune-up for the conference schedule.

Staff can't afford another 12-13 win season. When you look at a record from afar, you rarely recall every opponent. Don't fault them since they have multiple P5 schools on it which are inevitably penciled in as a Ls.

Mens Basketball at 5pm on a Wednesday ??? Must be a we do not want the fans to show up because most of them will be working thoughts . Why do we always have a game like this every year ?

It's the day before Thanksgiving. And it's against a DII team.

D1 or D2 who cares as long as they are a quality opponent. To play a cream puff D1 take a hit on RPI and possibly get somebody hurt or play a quality D2 have no bearing on RPI and possibly learn something about ourselves, give me the D2.

Again why have it scheduled if the majority of your fans cannot be there at 5 ? I mean the players won't be going home, the opposing team is only 2 1/2 hours away, its a d2 opponent as you said so it really does not help or hurt you unless you lose as well as it is the opening of your home schedule .
