We face our easiest opponent (D2 Trinity Christian College) and (arguably) toughest opponent Drake in back-to-back home games.
You know tusculum is an exhibition, right?I'm so glad we're substituting a home game against Belmont and a road game against Bradley, so that we can play Trinity Christian and Tusculum. That one game against Belmont, an opponent that people actually recognize, would probably draw as many people as those two non-D1 games.
Dear MVC,
Please expand the schedule to 22 games in the near future!
Negative on NIU...not a new addition. Is the Northern Illinois game a new addition? I don't remember that one.
Also, this feels like the most non-con home games we've had in a long time.
I didn't until now. I just figured it would be cross town rival Rose Hulman again. It would sure be nice if ISU listed it as an exhibition game on their online schedule. It actually makes me feel better about our schedule knowing that we really only have one non-D1 on the schedule. You know tusculum is an exhibition, right?
Do you forget we always play an exhibition first?I didn't until now. I just figured it would be cross town rival Rose Hulman again. Agreed on the home games, pretty solid.
It seems like it has been the last thing added to the schedule in recent years. I just figured Tusculum was our first regular season game, since it wasn't listed as "exhibition".Do you forget we always play an exhibition first?
Yeah that's not far at all from LMU. I think I've seen them on several OVC and SOCON schools' schedules in the past, so their location makes sense. I'm just glad we're back to playing D2 schools again in the exhibition game, which is the lowest division we should ever play.Look up where they're located and you'll know why they were given a call.
That sounds right, but it's hard to say because...we played at NIU in Nov 2016, then we were supposed to play at NIU in Dec 2021 but it was canceled cuz of Covid in the NIU program. And now they're coming to our place.I assume NIU was to finish up that H/H? I can't remember the specifics of that one from a few years back.
I think we go there next year since last year's game was cancelled due to their Covid problems.I assume NIU was to finish up that H/H? I can't remember the specifics of that one from a few years back.
One of our guys came from Tusculum too, right?Yeah that's not far at all from LMU. I think I've seen them on several OVC and SOCON schools' schedules in the past, so their location makes sense. I think I remember seeing on here that Trinity Christian was added because a game we had lined up with a P5 fell through at the last minute. I guess I can't fault the staff too much for having to add that game, since there probably weren't too many options out there.
I'm just glad that we really only have one non-D1 team on the schedule. Hopefully from now on most years that number will be zero (not including the exhibition obviously).
And never mind, I just read itOne of our guys came from Tusculum too, right?
