Let me hear it guys - most of the people on here are current athletes. But do the Alums really have a chance to lay the beat down to you all again this year at Pride? If you don't think you will get beat this year tell me why not?

I know Dave and Fife have accounts on here - I am sure they will get on here and read this, be careful what you say :talktohand:

It would appear to me that they will be able to put up a pretty good fight again this year. Notice I said they - I am not going to do any trash talking until the day of Pride. My training is on the DL.

I think that the alumni will have another strong team this year, but the only way they can win is if they repeat what they did in 2007 (go 1-2-3), and I don't believe that they can this year. Jordan Fife and Tony McDaniel are going to be strong, but many of the other alumni runners have stopped running competitively and may not be able to hang with the varisty runners who will be putting in some serious mileage this summer. The varsity squad has a plethora of strong runners returning, and some exciting new runners, and I anticipate another strong pack up front this year. It should be a great race.

Oh boy - he said plethora, did you hear that? They have a plethora of storg runners, watch out!

Does Harding run any more? He was always able to step in and compete pertty well...Dave has been putting in some decent miles I do believe. You never know what Walsh is doing with his life - prolly not running... What about ole dude you ran with yesterday Scott?? Can he run a fast 5k?

Fife
Bowman
Tony
Harding
Forhand
Kunz

Fife=the heavy favorite if still training (I heard him say a while ago that he is planning on extending his training to Pride so that a repeat of last year's performance does not occur.....)

Bowman=As of right now: not running as far as I know. Is he talented enough to train for a month a be up in the mix: definitely.

Tony= Appears to be in good shape. Will be up in the front pack.

Harding= I have no idea. Hasn't really be up with the leaders for the past few years if I recall.

Forehand= I have no idea. I believe he is still running but potentially focusing on the marathon.

Kunz= Not running. Does he have the talent to train for a month and be up with the leaders? Debatable.

"Ole dude I ran with yesterday"= I assume you mean Jeff Andrews? I am not sure if he is capable or not of running under 16:00.

Kyle Walsh= I don't think he is training competively but I am not sure of that.

Scott Koressel= Still training I think. Could be a darkhorse.

James Twitchell= Nuff said. Dude is a stallion.

I like this!!!! That's what I am saying...

Yeah I am not sure that "they" notice I keep saying they can pull the upset, but it's pretty cool that we have so many solid alums that still train after graduation. We must have one of the most active team of Alumni in the country - I am sure their are more active ones and alumni groups that make more money...

Me and Kunz traning for that bike across Indiana - don't sleep on Kunz dude. If he wanted to drop something "to prove a point" you and I both know he is more than capable. Dude was one of the most clutch runners you will ever see. He will run stride for stride and look at you and smile the whole way - that's my take, I have seen him do it to many times!

Hey Morgan....you and I obviously aren't working very hard at work

How dare you mention such a thing - I shall delete your most recent post right now!

It's a holiday weekend - plus it's just a matter of time before are firewall here does not allow me to pull up sycamorehoops.com anyways.

Remember the year I ran with a C-Section scar across my stomach and still beat Twitch, Lambertus, and Bertoli? What a summer!

Maybe I should start doing some High Knees to get ready- I didnt think you guys would need me.

ahah hold on you talking about that C Section scar that we can no longer find?

Yeah that was pretty funny - to bad I thought we were doing an 8k that day... lol I have never acted like I was a good distance runner - someone please cover for me.
