I hate to speculate on something like this, but I would imagine Mike Samuels' status is possibly the only one up in the air. I don't see a compelling reason for anyone else to transfer or to be non-renewed. With four seniors leaving the team, there's plenty of playing time to go around for those underclassmen.

Exactly this. Even though it's off topic, I love this year's recruiting class. Laquarious Paige is severely underrated, in my opinion.
I would expect to see Scott suspended for the first ? number of games, put on some type of restriction/probation but otherwise still be a part of the team. Of course, I am sure he has already been give a long list of conditions to meet by the end of summer in order to stay in GL's good graces.

Not up in the air. He is indefinitely suspended. He will complete whatever is required and rejoin the team. He'll get his second chance and rightfully so. If it happens again, he'll find himself gone. At the end of the day we have to remember these are kids. They're going to make mistakes... I'm more interested in seeing how he responds to making them. That shows a helluva lot more to me to be quite honest.

I know what you're trying to say SSOM. We're comparing what we think of him to other high schoolers. I do like how he was raised. I like that he seems to be the quiet one. There was a really good story on Q awhile back talking about his upbringing. Seems like a relaxed kid that likes to play above the rim. I bet he doesn't red shirt of Brenton is suspended for a little while. We might need him.

You guys draw an awful lot of conclusions about a player by watching interviews and highlight tapes and reading press clippings. You know what that will get you right?
Their is a reason major universties teach athletes to avoid social media and reading press clippings. Doesn't mean "kids" always heed that advice but they most certainly should.
I'd really like to believe that Q is a good kid and is going to be a good player for us for 4 years! But to base my opinion on the above would be really wreakless of me and I refuse to do it.
For the record, evaluating tallent based on the above hasn't worked well for many forum members in the past. Its not a good indicator of a kids character or ability to trasfer his game to the D1 level.

And what rationale suggests that being "the quiet one" is a good thing?? Not suggesting its bad but you included that in your opinion. I don't thikk he's quiet at all - I follow him on Twitter and suggest otherwise. I can also tell you he is the first basketball player that I know of to ever post on this forum and once again that suggests otherwise. But those are not "negatives" in my book.

A little birdie told me that one of our ''bigs'' will be leaving. I am not going to name the player at this time. I'm told he is getting married & will relocate. I can tell you that his name doesn't start with J.
What exactly are you posting for then? Either you have something to share or you don't... I will be quite honest with you, I don't really care if you want to share or don't want to share that is your choice. But to come on here and give hints as to who it might be but not exactly say who it is only creates unnecessary speculation. If you want to be responsible for that then keep making lame posts like that.
As for our team - I fully anticipate that Mike Samules will not be back next year. I'd also wouldn't be surprised to see Kitchell call it quits - no information to suggest such, just think it's a possibility seeing as how he has a child now and is a 5th year SR.

So that is either Demetrius Moore, TJ Bell or Mike Samuels. Might as well just say who it is.
No no no, don't tell us... A large amount of anonymity was forfeited when he made that post, he might as well hold onto whatever he has left to hold on to. What a waste, like that information is going to be earth shattering anyway.
Not a single one of those guys had performances that would make one think they are mainstays here at Indiana Sate.

I hope kitch sticks it out for a 5th year. Hes not a game changer but is a quality rotation big. If he improved his low post offense he might even be a starting quality center. I thought his defense was mostly solid and has proven he can hit open jumpers. Sets good screens too. Still think bell has some upside so would like to see him stay. Samuels or Moore wouldnt upset me too much. Moore regressed and Samuels hasn't played in 2 seasons. We could use a quality transfer, even if that means them sitting out next yr.

That doesn't surprise me, his defense lacked bigtime. But this would mean that we have an extra scholarship?? We had a surplus of bigs and really what did he give us once MVC started? SSOM and I had a friendly wager and argument over him at the beginning when he was playing well, but he shouldn't have even been in the rotation at the end. So now what do we do?
