Don't know why it would be. Illinois had their pro day yesterday--6 Bears coaches attended, plus several other team reps.

They aren't canceling the draft. Doubt that's true.

no pro day today.....got that information from the coaching staff.....

according to one of the coaches that i talked to, "the NFL scouts only want to work out our juniors that will be seniors next season. They requested to come in April 12th but now must wait until after the lock out. It is the first time they have requested to come in and work guys out. In recent years, we have always had to beg them to come. They feel we have some legit guys for next year."

Yeah I cant remember the last time we had guys who could legitimately play in the NFL...I think McCleskey could be a decent player but Sewall has "Hi, I am a John Lynch type" written all over him.

Is Fouch NFL material? He's got a cannon for an arm, and he can put the ball anywhere on the field he wants. I don't know how his quickness is, relative to NFL QB's, but he's got an arm and he's accurate. Seems like he might have the right stuff?

IDk...I dont think he is a Joe Flacco, do I think he could be a Dan Orlovsky? No doubt. Kid has a cannon but we have to have a good season.

Not sure about all of the names involved, but I have heard that the "Scout Day" will include (in no particular order): Gates, Fouch, Sewall, Lough, Robertson and Geffert.

I agree, Hilton should definitely be a prospect. It's a nice compliment to the program that there are several names even being mentioned in this regard. Hopefully they all are still carrying the chip on their shoulders, and realize that last year was just a step in the direction, not anywhere near where they want to be. Work hard, follow the lead of the track and basketball teams and step up Seniors, this is your year! Then you can all think about the prospects for the future after the season.
