If you looked at the 2015 recruiting profiles, the Sycamores are going head-to-head with Belmont for quite a few players. Belmont loves recruiting in Indiana and they're kicking the tires on several of the 2015 kids we're looking at or going after like Benkert, Kessinger and Speidel. Since that is a Saturday game, I hope the staff is asking all of those kids to come in on unofficial visits as it will probably be our biggest non-conference recruiting opportunity.

I honestly was disappointed in the low number of recruits I saw at the Ball State game. Since we're going to play a full 40 minutes against Belmont at home, this is a chance for them to see what a big mistake it would be not to jump on the bus now.

It's upsetting this Belmont game is over break. I'm going to be extremely limited what I can do as far as the Forest goes.

Do your best, Lynch...helluva job so far! Can't believe the #'s you've got this year. You might see which trees of the Forest originate within a reasonable radius of TH and petition their holiday spirit, perhaps the Ballyhoo could pitch in a few dogs, pizza, & cola pre-game to motivate?

Good idea, see if you could get the athletic department to partner with you for an event - pizza, refreshments, meet the coaches/coach's corner type thing. Might help entice some of the "locals" to come to Hulman Center. Most of our students live within, what? 45 minutes? I'd drive that for a game. Oh wait, I do drive more than that for a game...

I'd love to be there for that game. Unfortunately, until they address Sycamore Vision and some other issues, my money will stay firmly planted in my wallet.

To be frank, I don't think they actually give a damn. They've had how many years to straighten the kinks out and NOTHING has changed? They pass the buck around...Nelligan to HC to Sherman to NASA to....hell, take your pick. It's ISU as ALWAYS, content with incompetency.:tumbleweeds:

Since so many of the home games are televised by W-TWO why don't they use that signal on Sycamore Vision?
Going to guess there would be contractual issues from making it happen. I firmly believe it is either an Indiana State Internet or equipment issue within Hulman Center so even if we used their feed, there may still be issues.

I've watched multiple games done by other schools, from various conferences and even other schools on the same provider (Neulion/JumpTV) as us and only one or two out of the 30-40 games I've watched have had the magnitude of problems that the Sycamore Vision feed has had. I've also participated in the network side of things for a national streaming project my employer has done and have an extensive IT background. There needs to be some urgency to troubleshoot and figure out where the issue lies since this is a paid service. If they offered it up free like the OVC, I could live with the issues but it's not and they should have some pride in offering a product/service their customers can rely on.

To put my (virtual at this point) money where my mouth is, I'd be willing to take a day off from work to come down and test/troubleshoot with the folks that run it to see if we could get it working better.

It's George Bush's fault.

'Boda, I'll bet the problem lies with the internet connection at the HC. Anyone know who is the ISP?

IHETS I'd imagine. At least that was who provided us when I was a student.

That's probably the primary cause of the problems. IHETS is a state entity I do believe and if it still is probably has no one with competency in charge or GIVES A DAMN.
