How did this come about? I had not heard anything about them wearing throwbacks but they looked good. We should wear throwbacks from now on.

Does anybody know who had them made or who paid for them?

I have been wanting ISU to do this for a very long time. I would like to see the baseball team do it as well. However, I would absolutely hate it if the ISU baseball team wore the Red jerseys.

I hope they wear the powder blue throwback uniforms for a home game,

Superfan,

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but where did you find that rule? I'm actually interested in looking that up.

Michigan has worn their Gold Uniforms at home in the past.

Let me know if you find where that rule is stated.

Thanks!

Don't wear them again! Keep them fresh make it symbolic when you wear them! If you wore them every game it wouldn't take on any meaning! Once a year but it would be nice to see them wear them at home!

I'm surprised the university would debut the uniforms on the road. Seems strange, but you can't argue with the results.

Golden blogs about the prospect of the team wearing the retro uni's at home. It could happen. Just needs the OK of the opponent and the league, if he's correct. He even said Sunday could be a good day to do it - if Evansville wears their sleeves! Sleeves vs. 1979. That would be cool...

Well, I know it's a rule in football anyway that you can't wear your homes on the road or something to that affect. Someone broke it not too long ago and the penalty was the loss of a timeout. That was it.

Wasn't that the USC/UCLA game this year? One of 'em wanted to wear the wrong colors, and since they lost a timeout, the other team called timeout at the beginning of the game. Funny rule. Why can't the two teams decide? Just have a rule that it has to be decided before the season starts. Talk about micromanaging. But, hey, it's the NCAA...:krazy:

Well, in the Tribstar it says we are allowed to wear them at home as long as it is cooridnated with the opposing school and the MVC.
