I didn't put Thomas and Baumgartner as professional athletes because I thought in that era they still had to be 'amateurs' to compete in their sport.
I also didn't think about minor league baseball players or Dave Thomas (ISU) would have made my list.
...didn't think about another guy who lived down the hall from me who was a super great guy who played for the Expos, Wally Johnson.
I also didn't think about Indy Car or my list would have blown up even more (Parnelli Jones, Bill Vukovich Jr, Gary Bettenhausen, too many more to mention)

Which Dave Taylor? There are 4-7 listed in the MiLB register but none link to ISU.
