Arqeil Shaw was injured at practice on Monday when he was accidentally hit by a hammer that was thrown by one of his teammates, the hammer missed cage that is in place to protect the hammer from going out on the track and hit Arqeil. He was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with multiple injuries, he is in stable condition at this time.

If the Sycamore Pride family could pray today for one of our own I am sure he, his family, the University and the entire program would appreciate the support.

Ive heard from someone that was there that it hit him in the back while he was warming up.

With the way the old track is set up it was an accident waiting to happen. There were numerous close calls with throwing impliments during my time there. Unfortunetly this happened with 2 weeks left on the old track.

He had some pretty serious injuries. Its not my place and nor do I have specifics about those injuries.

My understanding is he is doing okay and they would be considered non life threatening injuries but likely season ending. But that is speculative on my part.

I'm not going to quote your post TreeFan but I would encourage you to maybe not put a kids entire medical record on the internet. I mean you can do whatever you want, I'm not going to think any less of you either way.

I just don't think everyone needs to know the exaxt extent of his injuries, especially if you just "heard" it. But that is just my opinion, again not trying to be critical.

Took down his injury part, as information about that kind of stuff is always different on who you ask. But as far as how it happened, it is very accurate as my source was there and watched the entire scene unfold.

I would agree! I think the information you posted was pretty accurate just very specific. It's all good though, thanks for editing.
