I saw that article. I wondered how long it would be before his family "magically" get jobs in the Lawrence North district in Indy...

Wonder if Lansing is sending Christmas presents??? ;)

Curious...why do TH kids have to go to Indpls to play on AAU squads? None in TH/Wabash Valley? I note where the AAU action last week was just up the road from me in Cocoa Beach. So much for living on an "island."

I used to play with several of the Shouse family members at Brittlebank Park all the time. The whole family could play some basketball. It's too bad he'll likely end up in Indianapolis. Would be nice to see him play for THN or THS.

at least his father added the "if he keeps growing..."

his father played 3 games for the 76ers as a 6'2" guard

What happens if he's done growing at 5'11"??

Father was suspended from CBA for a incident with a refereel. A great talent Dexter had to many other things kept his career from being more than it was .

sounds like he will probably end up in indy which is a shame. There is also a really talented kid a grade ahead of him who also plays with an indy aau teams instead of here. There is a pretty good middle school level aau team that is based in TH that these kids could play on called the blue devils i believe? Not sure in the difference of talent they play but there are some talented kids that play on that team.

The George Hill aau teams are at a much higher level than any Terre Haute team and if dexter got asked to be on that team he really can't pass it up.

if you are at the talent level of the young shouse you want to get on one of the upper-echelon aau teams in indy or elsewhere in the state because you will play with and against comparable talent in national tourneys where you will be seen by high-level programs. because these teams are funded by shoe companies or the foundations of pro players, virtually all of your expenses (air fare, lodging and meals, uniforms, shoes, etc.) are picked up.

like it or not it's the way the game is played today.
