well, do any of you honestly think ISU has a shot to sweep the conference leaders at this point?

I'll say that if ISU goes into this game 100% healthy they do, if they're at less than 100% then it might be a rough game to watch, it's on TV too, Fox Sports Midwest.

UNI has not won in Terre Haute since January of 2005, so why let them win now? Even as dreadful as this season has been, a win Saturday afternoon would be somewhat redeeming, knowing that ISU is the only team to beat UNI twice.

the idiots on panthernation think they'll win handily, ISU players, show'em you're not as bad as everyone thinks you are!

I don't know if we can win, but our guys sure shouldn't have any problem believing that they can win. We gutted out a very hard fought win in Iowa, so being at home, where the shots will fall a little better (we hope) and maybe with a larger than average crowd, we can pull off the upset.

They just gotta believe...(and not turn the ball over quite so much...)

As an FYI, the guys had to stay an extra night in Omaha due to the weather over in TH. They did get to practice yesterday morning though so this shouldn't cause too much of an interuption in planning.

I'd like to see the following tomorrow:
1) continued effort shown on both ends of the floor 1a) continued rebounding
2) someone other than Jay taking a charge...
3) concerted effort by all to value the ball...for that matter, value each possession.
4) get the FT percentage back to respectability...nice and relaxed at the line...follow routine and knock 'em down w/ confidence.
5) good team ball w/ guys looking for each other...not so much one on one.
6) third MVC win

if ISU can shoot like they did in the 1st half at UNI (64% and 7-12 from 3 point range), then they'll be right in it. ISU was 0-6 from 3 point range in the 2nd half of that game, absolutely can not have that happen again. Also ISU outrebounded UNI in that game too. Need to continue to be crashing the boards big time tomorrow.

Perimeter defense will also be key, UNI has been shooting VERY good from the field recently.

I smell another win. UNI is ripe for the picking and we picked them once already. It will be ironic that they may win the league and lose both games to the tenth place team.

almost game time, everyone say a collective prayer for:

1. fewer turnovers
2. more rebounds
3. a higher shooting percentage
4. better free throw shooting
5. a large, enthusiastic crowd
6. just a win.....

good shooting that half, need to keep that up and play GOOD DEFENSE in the 2nd half here.

Crowd is dreadfully small too. wow.

37-30 ISU, let's come out strong and NOT let them right back in this.

I KNEW ISU would not win that game, 22% shooting in the 2nd half, yet another total collapse, absolutely maddening to watch. We hit 5 field goals the entire half. Five, that's it. Unbelieveable.

Toothpick Offense...

We started the 2nd half with our POWER in the middle (Leitnaker/Crawford) and sought to get inside scoring. This backfired, detroying our 1st half perimeter rhythm.

McKenna FAILS to play creatively on "D", giving too much predictability to our opponets, who walk the ball up the court and are not threatened, thus having easy inside feeds.

If we're planning on building with our returning INSIDE players, don't expect to go to the Feds for next year BAILOUT SUPPORT!:krazy:

i watched the game on tv here in indy

i can see how this year's team drives fans nuts...lol....isu doesn't get a whole lot from the inside...if they don't hit a jumper from the outside, they're in trouble....silly passes....bad shot selection....i liked what i saw of marshall...printy reminds me of a poor man's jeff lauritzen at times....reed wasn't too bad from what i saw....but there is no inside presence...they play hard....but they're just hurting themselves will silly mistakes....
