Bally #50

The JSW Level
We are looking for roughly 28 adventurous people to travel from Terre Haute to Iowa City Wednesday (and return). I think it is the brain trust of the ISU Foundation trying to put it together and I don't have all the details but it will be departing from somewhere on campus Wednesday morning, and obviously, we are going to the game. Don't hold me to the exact price but it should be somewhere around $100 for everything. As soon as I get details I will post them but in the meantime, if you are interested, send me a PM. We should be able to have it all wrapped up by Tuesday morning. Please move quickly if you are serious because we have limited time to get this worked out.

Glad to see this. Would love to, having just had back surgery, don't think doctors would agree. Those who go we will be cheering you on.

Hopefully we can pull it off, Rap. 5.5 hour bus trip not preferred activity for a healing back. Take care, my friend.

Wish I could have done this. How is the demand Bob?
No decision yet. They were hoping that staff/professors might jump on board and although I have not heard where we are this morning, I am thinking that they have not found enough yet. If not, there are some of us that might go and head out of Indy. We may have extra room if we do that but because of the long drive and after a beer or 4, we likely will stay in Iowa City and return on Thursday. I can't believe I chose NOT to go to St. Louis at the last moment and now I am considering driving 5.5 hours for a game I doubt the team even wants to play. Bottom line, because it would be FUN~ In my "younger" days we road-tripped a lot for b-ball and football games.

Disappointing but expected.

I sent an E-mail to Gotta Hav, who probably would go if he can get off work @ Raytheon...he likes those "corn fed" cheerleaders & dance girls! :lol:Sounds like fun and well worth the $100.00 cost. Hope it works out...

I have no idea if the Forest's attempt to fill a bus is tied into the one we are trying to do. I would imagine it is NOT because with students on board, bringing of cooler full of beer would obviously not be allowed and 5.5 hours of a DRY bus would not be nearly as fun, at least for our group.

Gonna have a free deli & bingo?

Kinda reminds me of the junkets my uncle used to go on with his VFW, Moose & Eagles Lodge chums...all I ever heard was how much they gambled, ate & drank!

Here's a update on the BUS trip to IOWA. They do have a bus. The cost should NOT exceed $70 and may even be less by the time the bus is FULL. If you are interested, call Phil Ness at the Sycamore Athletic Foundation. Since he may have gone for the day, if you are serious, call him on his cell (814) 282-6761. The bus is leaving from Sycamore Field between 10-11am.

I believe that this is likely the same bus I will be on. I am glad it has been sold out because that will lower the price. If you are still interested, there is at least a possibility that the Sycamore Athletic Foundation is holding some seats so it might be worth a try.

This is all the same bus. Sponsors have bought 20 seats for students (probably going to backfire) last time I checked me and my friend were the only 2 to buy a ticket. Hopefully get more in the morning. $15 ticket for students and their seat is paid for. Yes that means $15 gets a student a ticket AND a ride to Iowa and back. How many of you would of jumped on that deal in your day?

Oh, yeah!

Are most students still on Spring Break, or just out of funds?:embarassed:
$15.00...you can blow that on a date wining & dining @ McDonald's!

It seems like it would make a whole lot more sense to use that money to put 20 band members on there and send them. That would make a statement to send the band.

Absolutely sad.

On a side note, how are you guys tracking Forest membership?
