Do you spend 4.5 - 5 million dollars? If so, then yea, I guess it is worth it.I know it doesn’t make financial sense, but did you ever consider guys like me coming back spending money like our 250 members makes sense? That makes sense!

You’re a fool!Do you spend 4.5 - 5 million dollars? If so, then yea, I guess it is worth it.
So you admit that “it doesn’t make financial sense” but let’s go ahead and keep burning money on a program going nowhere so that people have a place to hang out once a month in October……and I’m the fool?You’re a fool!
In a way I agree with you. I think we can probably compete with the MVC schools, YSU, and the UxD schools in football fine. NDSU and SDSU are on a completely different level at this point. Not sure if that will ever change or not, but they have fanbases that we will never have.It’s like Purdue or Indiana going to The MAC! NO! Let’s make it better!
For s's and giggles.In a way I agree with you. I think we can probably compete with the MVC schools, YSU, and the UxD schools in football fine. NDSU and SDSU are on a completely different level at this point. Not sure if that will ever change or not, but they have fanbases that we will never have.
At this point in time 7-4 (2-1 NC, 5-3 MVFC) is probably our absolute max most seasons, and in general that's what it takes to make the playoffs. More realistically if we have a good team we're probably looking at 6-5 or 5-6.
Out of curiosity here is how we've done against NC FCS Opponents and non-XDSU MVFC members since our last playoff appearance in 2014. The only XDSU / FBS win we've had in this stretch was against Ball State in 2014, and I did not count it as a NC win in this chart.
14= 2-0 NC / 4-2 MVFC
15= 2-0 NC / 3-3 MVFC
16= 2-0 NC / 2-5 MVFC
17= 0-2 NC / 0-7 MVFC
18= 1-0 NC / 5-2 MVFC
19= 2-1 NC / 3-4 MVFC
20= ISU DIDN'T PLAY
21= 2-0 NC / 3-3 MVFC
22= 1-1 NC / 1-5 MVFC
TOTAL= 12-4 NC / 21-31 MVFC
NC Record vs FCS Conference:
OVC (SEMO, EIU, EKU)= 7-1
Big South (Liberty)= 1-1
Pioneer (Butler, Dayton)= 2-1
ASUN (EKU, UNA)= 2-0
Big Sky (Montana)= 0-1
Look, most universities lose money with football. Not only a time and place for Homecoming, but (at least for me), an Alumni donation. I get it’s a losing ($$), sport, but putting money in Basketball with The Portal and NIL is also throwing good money against whoever will pay that stud player more. And if he is good, it won’t be ISU.So you admit that “it doesn’t make financial sense” but let’s go ahead and keep burning money on a program going nowhere so that people have a place to hang out once a month in October……and I’m the fool?
Our Baseball team is throwing down The Once In A Blue Moon like our 78 Basketball team. Otherwise, we are just Indiana State. Ya, that Homecoming is usually the norm!Look, most universities lose money with football. Not only a time and place for Homecoming, but (at least for me), an Alumni donation. It has changed!
