Just curious as to what everyone else here jams out to? I'm always looking to expand my musical horizons so let's hear what you guys currently have in your CD player, on your iPod, in your 8 track player... whatever you have.

Chicago! That's the beginning and the end for me. Mostly their stuff from the early 70's, although I do have a soft spot for some of the ballads. Terry Kath, the original guitarist, was a MONSTER! Jimi Hendrix said often that Kath was better than him. That's some praise. If you're not familiar, check out any of their albums from "Chicago Transit Authority" to "Chicago VII." That is some serious music... :meditate:

Bump...saw Wilco tonight at a small theatre here in Omaha...it's a must see if they come to town. If you don't like guitar then I'd suggest you pass...they do lots of reverb stuff and the lead guitarist is sick...kinda reminded me of Mick Jones from the Clash w/ his combat boots on flailing around while jamming.

Hey Eddie. Years ago, Jay Farrar and Tweedy lived about a mile from my wife and I in Belleville, Illinois. Tweedy got his hair cut at my wifes salon - I think he still owes her 20 bucks. At that time of course, they were in Uncle Tupelo, but also used to play the bars in Lebanon, Illinos and other small towns around here. If I remember correctly Tweedy used to sit in occasionally with a band named Joe Camel and the Caucasions... At the time everyone thought it was Farrar that was the real talent - Tweedy was always kind of a quiet daydreamer. He used to work part-time at a St. Louis record store with a friend of mine (Streetside records, I think). Any way, I have always been a huge fan of all the Farrar/Tweedy iterations, but haven't seen either of them "live" in 15 years or more.

I'm telling ya, it's worth going out of your way to see Wilco. Their setlist is different every night and the mix the old w/ the new very well. I would have preferred more old last night but they finished w/ a flurry of oldies (oldies being before the last 2 cd's). I've seen them twice now...Baltimore about 4 years ago and yesterday. Both were fantastic shows at great venues.
