What do you want/expect to see Saturday? How do you think our senior QB will perform? Do we have the offensive line and playmakers necessary to put up 20 plus points?

How about our defense? What do you expect to see from Underwood and Nicholls? How about our secondary that looked pretty good against IU? Was it just because they ran so effectively, or did we actually play pass defense well?

Any thoughts on our opponent, Tennessee Tech? They run an offense with two QBs who share the field at the same time. Any thoughts on how we'll defend that, or what we should try to do?

Let's start by saying the team that lost to Indiana is noticeably better than the one that got blown away in 2013. Beyond that, I don't have a clue. Any well-informed Sycamore has little to go on with this team because little has been said. In our loss in Bloomington, our depth was suspect, but 22-23 less scholarships ALWAYS show that weakness. I did see a teem that was confident and better prepared to play the Hoosiers than last year.

Sycamore Nation took a huge hit last year when three straight years of success surprisingly turned to total underachievement. The sad fact is that this team almost has to win out to make the playoffs and that is a tall task to take on. They need a big win against TT and maybe that gets us on a roll. Beat the evil Cardinals and maybe they will roll. Our conference is the best in FCS and that doesn't help. We'll see. It's a tall order, for sure.

It looks like Saturday is going to be PERFECT tailgate weather and I am psyched to make it to MS after missing my first home opener in a decade last year. We'll see how they do but if they lose, the season is almost OVER, but win, as I expect them to, anything goes. Game on. GO TREES~

I didn't get to see the whole IU game, but what I saw was very encouraging.

I want to see a team that fights.....not fist fight, but battle throughout the game...
I want to see the sidelines engaged in the game, and I want the crowd, whatever the size, engaged.

Can we get the Forest to do a chant for Bronson when he is at the game?

Bent is Nicholls ready to play? He had a scary injury in the off season and didn't play last week. He could help. I expect the team to battle the entire game and come up with a win.

He seemed to be walking with a bit of a limp on the sideline at the IU game. I had high hopes for him this season.

My Wants:

Offensively

- Aggressive offensive play calling. Can we try stretching the field some? I know Sanford is known for his west coast stuff but you've got to pull safeties away from the LOS.
- Perish to work on his mental clock and make decisions and get rid of the ball quicker. Trust in his arm.
- Want to see the backs make quick decisions -- 1 cut and go. Quit dancing!
- Offensive line growth. Hold blocks a second longer, open bigger holes, work as a unit. Run over to the pile and yank defenders that are laying on your backs or receivers.

Defensively

- Have better run fits.
- Be more aggressive tackling. Follow Sewall's lead.
- Continue to swarm to the ball like they did against IU. We had a TON of TFLs. Big positive.
- Continue to have good pass coverage.

Special Teams

- Take one to the house!
- Longer kickoffs. Don't let them return.
- Hit your gosh darn field goals.
- Continue to boom those punts and become a consistent field position weapon.
- Continue with the great kick return coverage we had.

I do have a couple of thoughts on the 2 QB system.
I believe that using a "gimmick" ststem TT is admitting they have problems with their offense. At this point I don't know if the problems are running game, lime play or recievers, or QB. Hopefully we can match our strengths against thier weaknesses and have a decisibe advantage.

I think 8 wins would get us in as long as there arent 3 other teams with better records and wins against us in the conference
9-11 wins gets us a guarantee

He's probably our second best pass rusher and does a great job overall with getting penetration. He was having a great year last season. He's a guy who can make a difference on the field. We have a lot of good young players, not trying to slight anyone.

We certainly could not stretch the field against IU. Our guys were not fast enough and the QB's arm is not strong enough. Big10 talent vs FCS talent. TT is a different story. Possibly our guys can run past some people, force TT to play a seven man front allowing us to get our run game going. I only saw the first half but I liked the way we played and although I know nothing about TT I am confident that the Sycamores will win.

I don't expect O'Leary and Tonyan will be all that fast. They were former QBs. Maybe this week we'll see more of some guys who didn't play in the IU game. We certainly have quite a few FR receivers, but we never seem to let freshmen play unless we absolutely have to. Sampson Levingston looked like a good young receiver last year, even caught a TD against IU. Did he even see the field last Saturday?
