In addition to the physical part of the game, the mental part is important, very important. To me, this game parallels the hoops version of the big guys vs the mid-major. When you win most say big deal--that was supposed to happen. A loss would be a major setback. We need to understand this is a non-conference must win game. In order to do that we will just need to go out and play Sycamore football--solid defense, powerful offense and improved special teams.
 
A loss here would be a huge setback. Butler is going to come in very motivated, obviously. It would not only be a big win for them, but also for the Pioneer League, which has been trying to get an automatic playoff bid with no success. This game, along with Jacksonville at WIU and Morehead State at Illinois State, are big games for them to make headway toward an automatic bid. If the MVFC teams can spank them, it sets them back. Our players cannot take Butler at all lightly, and need to be focused to put a hurt on them.
