Where is the TribStar coverage?

Its now 2:58 PM CT, the day after the ISU season opener and the Sports section lead stories are:

1.Irish win Kelly’s debut, 23-12 over Purdue
2. Missouri rallies to beat Illinois 23-13


ummmm, excuse me, but is there something I am missing?

Honestly, they are very spotty on the weekends with updating the online version. A couple weeks ago, the Friday high school games were on there all weekend.

It is the paper industry, their does have to be some sort of an incentive to buy the paper version.... It's not like they didn't cover the game - they got plenty of coverage! Not to mention it was a late finish compared to those games that were online...

I saw something on Golden's blog recently that mentioned the Tribune isn't going to post stories online until the paper comes out or something to that effect.

Probably has something to do with what Morgan is saying.

In the newspaper world it is absolutely critical right now that you have an online presence and update regularly, weekends or not. That is the future of the industry. The small markets have been slow to respond and that will only hurt them badly in the future. It's only a matter of time before the print product is gone, for those of us in our 20s and 30s it will happen within our life times. - End of speech I hate hearing all of the time at work.

fyi....the indy star is doing pretty much the same thing as the tribstar....

in terms of getting things up online.....the indy star guys had a heck of a time after the colts game thursday night.....getting in touch with their online people...trying to get something posted......

with the economy being what it is right now, newspapers have a hard time hiring somebody to man the online stuff 24/7......even the bigger/major papers are having the problem......
