I think I'd also give John Becker a call. He's been at Vermont forever and could be a lifer.

For the 2023-24 school year, Becker's base pay is $375,920. According to incentive terms in his contract, Becker has achieved bonus earnings for winning the America East title ($20,000) and being named the league's coach of the year ($10,000). For the 2022-23 season, Becker was paid out $75,000 in bonuses.
He has also recruited Indiana well

How much does it hurt our hiring efforts that we don't have a new president or new AD named yet? Who is leading the search? What kind of coach do we get when the university's leaders aren't even in place yet?

Due to the timing, Angie Lansing will likely have to make the hire I'd imagine.

You'd basically be giving yourself a multi-year rebuild if you didn't make a hire until really late in the cycle. No coach worth his salt is going to walk into that situation without being compensated.

There must be some Indiana connection with him, or it might have been with an assistant, because he had an Evansville Duncan on the roster for what seemed like a decade, along with some other Indiana kids. Had the McRoberts kid too.
Coach Becker fulfilled his program’s scholarship commitment to Josh Speidel after his horrendous car crash. Funded the young man’s education, which eventually led to Josh coaching one of my wife’s great-nephews a couple seasons ago. Six degrees … regardless, John Becker earned a ton of karmic credits with those actions. I believe him to be a man of great character. (And his teams are very well coached, too.)

Currently making $700k at McNeese. Do bigger teams take a chance on him?

Wade? I'd be shocked if he remains at McNeese.

Give him resources now that what he was doing is essentially legal and he will have you in the tournament every year.

Just checked in on @IndyTreeFan's D2 guys and two are now in the D2 Elite 8.

Gannon (Fee) is still alive and now 32-2 on the year. Nova Southeastern (Crutchfield) is also still alive and 30-2 on the year.

Both play on the 26th.

Just saw a post that YSU's Calhoun has interviewed with SIU.

If HCJS were to leave, that is one guy I would have liked to interview. Up tempo O guy.

Will be an absolute night and day different for SIU from Mullins to him.

Ben McCollum
Bucky McMillan
Preston Spradlin

We would definitely have to pay up for one of these 3 though. I also don’t know what McMillan makes.

Interesting snippet from a post on the SLU board:

Bart Lundy and Cuonzo are two of the names contacted by Indiana State through a search firm to gauge interest as possible replacements there.

How the hell would they know? I can tell you the list they'll work off of...
The list they will work off (in the future)?

Or

The list they are currently working off of?

(I'm not asking for names, just wanting clarification of "when" they're working off of a list)
