Would be interesting to see if Murray State would be open to it considering they want into the Valley. Do you try to work with Janz/Gudino and get a H/H with New Mexico State?

A home and home with new mexico st would be good. Id kick the tires on St. Louis and see if they are open to doing another hm and hm. Would be nice for emondre and barnes to get chance to play near home.. Forgot we still had 2 more years scheduled with valpo.

Yeah, St. Louis makes sense, too. I think whomever it is, it has to be a home/home. We can't keep getting these lopsided road heavy schedules. It's not turned out well for us.

I'd check in with Memphis and Belmont for the fact that we've done a home and home with Belmont before and Memphis for the reason mentioned above - we have a couple highly touted Tennessee kids.

Dick Bender is still at Clemson not sure he has any love or loyalty toward Terre Haute but that would be a real nice one.

Rick Ray at SEMO still I believe that wouldn't be awful either. I think they were respectable last year after having several years of awfulness.

Other than that all of the other suggestions have been good ones.

No interest in a New Mexico State series

St Louis Yes
Dayton Yes
Xavier Yes
DePaul Yes
Murray Yes
Belmont Yes

maybe another MAC school, maybe a Summit/MVFC school; maybe Denver -- no team that hurts the RPI / BPI / Sagarin; other "rating formula"

Memphis Never Happen

When the new Big East formed Xavier and Butler had to play 3 times that season due to an existing H/H contract made prior to them joining the same conference. We may have to play them 3 times.

If I recall correctly the 3rd game was in a Holiday Tournament.

You are probably correct. That's what I get for not fact checking before posting. I was relying on info passed to me from a buddy who happens to be a Xavier fan. We were discussing this very topic. That's what I get for trusting a Xavier fan :silenced::lol:

Middle Tennessee State would be a good Tennessee option as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing Western Kentucky either. I know that we played Northern Illinois last year (not sure if we've got an ongoing contract) but they finished with an RPI very close to us.

Any MAC school in our general vicinity makes a lot of sense. If obviously like to see more high profile opponent like Xavier, Cincy, and maybe DePaul, but the chances of getting them to come to Terre Haute is pretty unlikely.

Just call up IU or Purdue. I'm sure they're willing to come down to Terre Haute for a game. Butler, too. What do they have to lose?

Not a bad idea, with Clink being part of their program at one time. It would probably be easier than getting St. Louis to visit TH.
