Both teams stayed perfect through three.

Murray broke it in the top of the fourth with a bunt (👎🏼).

Then the Sycamores scored two on a homer from Caden Miller!

2-0 Sycs after 4

Double play get us out of a jam in the top of the seventh, but can’t capitalize and go down in order on the bottom half.

Still 2-1 Trees after 7

What an absolute bummer of the last 3 games (almost 4 if you don’t have a miracle against Belmont).

The last 3 games all you have to do is win 1 game and you either win a trophy or in a good position to win a trophy and just completely crap the bed. Just so disappointing

This team does not have the pitching depth to win this tournament losing game one
I don’t disagree with you, but our pitching was fine last night. Can’t expect to win a game with 4 hits against 11 strikeouts.

If we lose today, we’ll officially be winless in conference tourneys in mbb/baseball for the last 2 years. What a fall from grace.

I agree. We are definitely in trouble, but our lack of being able to put the ball in play is what cost us yesterday. Funny thing is that we killed that pitcher who looked like Orel Hershiser last night on May 9. His line that day was 4.1 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER in 22 batters. Sure looks like they made adjustments on how he pitched us.
