Daniels was one of the area’s most underrated players the last two seasons, as a running back and a linebacker, on Webster Groves teams that won a state championship and finished second in back-to-back seasons. A physical running back, Daniels rushed for 1,032 yards as a senior, averaging 9 yards per carry, and scored 18 total touchdowns despite playing in a spread offense that didn’t feature any particular player or position. He was credited with 43 tackles, three sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception as a linebacker.
He has great speed to get through the hole, and he has no trouble breaking tackles. This could be a great get for Coach Miles. I thought we had our running back in Shakir Bell, but we also lost Gates and Lough, so it makes sense.
Lough is back as a Senior next season, and Luke Harris and George Cheeseborough are also back. However, you can never have enough talented RBs. Aaron would be a great addition.
