Filer transferred to Noll from Mount Carmel, where he averaged 14.2 points, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals last year and was a Chicago Catholic League first-team pick for the Caravan (26-5).
He has six Division I offers on the table right now, including Valparaiso, Bradley, Baylor and Indiana State.
Agree. Looks very good. Wouldn't be surprised if Crean or Painter or Stevens goes after him.
Listened to this game on the radio. Filer sounded very promising as a prospect. It sounds like he was playing the 2/3 spot. He ended up with 19 points and 7 boards and would have had like 25 or more if some of his layups fell.
The broadcast team on 1070 said he had Dwyane Wade-like hangtime.
Dwayne Wade????? I think not. Closer to Aaron Carter than Dwayne Wade.
I saw no comparison to Aaron Carter. He's not the shooter Carter is but hes quicker, more athletic, a better penetrator, and a PG. He's obviously not in the same atmosphere as Wade but I can see that comparison.

The biggie though for Filer is he just isn't a good shooter so that really pigeon holes him into being a point guard at the next level. He couldn't be a 2 since he can't shoot and a 6-foot-3 small forward would be bad. He really needs to lock himself in a gym and work on the stroke.Yogi is comparing him to Teague in the paper. I must have been dead wrong. Sorry. I will see him at the top 60; guess I can't get a complete appreciation of players unless I see them in person.
